What makes borosilicate glass different from regular glass?
Borosilicate glass contains boron trioxide, which gives it a much lower thermal expansion coefficient. This means it can withstand extreme temperature changes (from freezer to oven) without cracking — regular tempered glass cannot.
Can I put these containers directly from freezer to oven?
Yes! Our borosilicate glass containers can go from -20°C freezer directly to a 400°C oven. The gradual thermal shock resistance is what makes borosilicate glass superior for kitchen use.
